PhD supervision

I currently supervise PhD students in the University’s School of Social and Political Science programs in Politics, African Studies, and International Development.

My students are recipients of ESRC, School, and national scholarships. Their topics include:

  • Transnational activism and narrative frames concerning sexual violence against men and boys;
  • Conflict-related mobilization and post-DDR (disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration) transition in Côte d’Ivoire;
  • Gendered dynamics of economic empowerment programs for refugees in Izmir, Turkey;
  • Perpetrator participation in post-conflict truth and reconciliation commissions.

I also supervise master’s students in the following programs:

African Studies, International Development, Global Health, Public Policy
